Higher education institutions across the United States and Canada are reeling from the effects of the pandemic, which has created more institutional uncertainty than any event in modern history. Whereas the Great Recession imposed significant financial stress on every institution, the recent crisis has called into question whether or when campuses might resume normal programming. In fact, many major higher education systems and institutions have announced plans to limit fall 2020 offerings to online programming.

Numerous institutions are now considering retrenchment strategies to respond to the financial challenges imposed by the pandemic. During this webcast, our presenters will provide an in-depth look into these strategies, examine one institution’s approach to scenario mapping, and explore ways your institution could deploy similar strategies to alleviate some of the concerns that have surfaced these last few months.
